We recently had a few inches of snow in London. Almost perfect timing for the Xmas period! :) The snow in London didn't last long, but it was enough to cover the city with a fluffy white blanket. Which is always a lovely scene to behold.
Last year as well, we had one day of snow, and I documented it in a YouTube video. I was still living close to the city centre, so I went to Westminster and started my walk from there. Now that I'm East, I decided to walk along Regent's Canal from Mile End park to Victoria park. And I found some nice scenes to photograph. I did not record a video this time: I was only out for photos and a bit of time to relax in nothing but the sound of the falling snow. It stopped falling almost immediately, but it was still very enjoyable.
I'm not going to digress much, and I'll leave you with some of the photos I took on this day of snow in London (ok, early morning). Just wanted to add, for the Fujifilm shooters that look to take good photos of the snow, that you should give a go at an overlooked film simulation that is Bleach Bypass. I also showed it in the video, and I think it pairs very well with the snow with its contrasty look. Particularly in daylight. In the photos below, I used Bleach Bypass, Provia and Eterna. It should be pretty obvious what I used in each photo, but you can always ask in the comments ;)

I love the snow, maybe because it is always been so rare in every city I have lived in. In Florence, for example, people still talk about the snow of 1985… This rare! The river Arno...
Listen to the automated audio version of this article: 0:00 0:00 100 Today we're looking at fog photography in London. In particular, a lot of cityscape and some street “fog photography”. We all have in our hearts the sight of beautiful landscapes in a thick fog or a delicate mist. But this has become rarer and rarer in the city. In London, for example, we now only have 2-3 days of fog...
Listen to the automated audio version of this article: 0:00 0:00 100 London lockdown, again… England is entering its second national lockdown phase today as Coronavirus/Covid-19 cases have risen sharply. This gives me the opportunity to finally present my London lockdown photography project on YouTube. Back when I took the photos, I wasn't producing content for my channel yet. So, unfortunately, I didn't film my usual POV footage. However, I did document...
