First (and so far only) day of snow of 2021, so of course I had to go out for a Snow In London photowalk!
I love the snow, maybe because it is always been so rare in every city I have lived in. In Florence, for example, people still talk about the snow of 1985… This rare! The river Arno also froze, and you could walk over it, so that's why the one in 1985 was so special. I don't think I was smart as an 11-year-old walking on ice, but it felt solid, and I'm still here…
Here in London, we only had a couple hours of falling snow. So I decided to go to the park to have a good time and also film this video. The same park where I photographed birds with the 150-600mm when I tested it.
It took me a while to publish because I came back with over three hours of footage! Well, now the new GoPro Hero 9 battery lasts much longer, so I got carried away… But I think it's well worth it as I captured much of the atmosphere I felt on the day.
The video
In this Snow In London photowalk, you'll find a bit of everything: humans, birds, nature… A proper Sunday out for the photographer who never leaves their camera at home! LOL

I had a very good time and found it quite relaxing. I left all of the original ambience sounds (adding a bit of music), so hopefully, you'll find this relaxing too. And I'm sure you'll enjoy this little time out with me, seeing London with its not-so-common white coat :)
Speaking of audio, you can see I mentioned I was using the GoPro Media Mod… Well, luckily, I was also recording on my phone with the Just Press Record app and the Rode Wireless Go mic, because the audio from the GoPro was not exactly the best.
Another lesson learned.
So, join me in this Snow In London photowalk! And if you fancy weather-influenced Street Photography, how about watching the cinematic vlogs under the pouring rain or in the thick fog?
And I'll see you next time!
Cheers.
Update December 2022: Different park, but I went for another walk in the snow and took a few pictures. I added them to a gallery here.
