This Istanbul photo zine includes more than 130 photos over 150 pages with shooting info, stories, and places from my recent trip to Istanbul. This is the perfect companion to my travel video on YouTube about the same trip.
Here you can hopefully get inspired by the many high-res photos, pick up your camera, and visit this splendid city.
With its mix of cultures and religions and being one of the largest cities in the world, there is always a lot to see and do in Istanbul. For example, the Grand Bazaar is the largest and oldest covered market in the world, with over 60 streets and 4000 shops. And there’s a dedicated section in this publication full of images to inspire you.

All the money raised in pre-orders was donated to AKUT, a voluntary, non-governmental organisation involved in searching, assisting and rescuing the victims and those affected by the earthquake.
This digital zine includes more than 130 high-resolution photos over 150 pages with shooting information, stories, and locations from my recent trip to Istanbul. It is the perfect complement to my travel video on YouTube about the same trip.
Here you can hopefully get inspired by the many high-res photos, pick up your camera, and visit this splendid city.
At the moment, these zines are digital only for a few reasons:
- the digital format allows me to update the zine indefinitely: if I made a typo, if I wanted to add more content, etc… All it takes is to upload a new version, and you will be able to receive updated copies for life (lifetime updates are included in the price)
- it helps reduce the cost of creating a zine (on top of packing and shipping), so I can give it to you at a considerably reduced price (more on this below)
- it is, of course, more sustainable for the planet
- you can have instant access to the zine wherever you are
I’m not entirely against making printed copies if there happens to be enough demand. And there has been quite some interest on Instagram already. But they would be very limited editions for collectors at a much higher cost. To be completely transparent with you, a publisher quoted me £106.80 per copy, plus shipping, for the hardcover version with photographic quality paper.
Therefore, this is the only format available. If a printed version will ever be made available and you already purchased this digital copy, the cost of your purchase will be discounted.
All pages are high resolution, so you could also print them yourself if you’re so inclined.
The PDF file is about 150Mb, so make sure you have enough space on your device.
For the best viewing experience I would recommend using a device with a larger screen, such as a tablet or a computer. Some pages (only a few) would be best viewed next to each other on screen, but the experience is not affected if you can only see the pages one by one.
