Back

I offer you a unique photographic experience in my hometown Florence. You can now join me on a Street Photography tour of some of Florence’s most beautiful and historic locations. We’ll be exploring the narrow alleyways and the most popular points of interest to find the best photographic opportunities. My itinerary covers many options and I will show you how to capture that perfect moment and make it Instagram-worthy.
You will learn how to capture stunning images using different techniques to make the most of the light conditions.

The main focus is on Street Photography, but if the conditions are right, we will try to capture the beautiful Florentine sunset behind Ponte Vecchio or from the scenic views of the Piazzale and Fiesole.
If Astrophotography is of interest, the Taurids meteor shower should be happening on the night as well (outside of workshop hours). Please note that sunset and astro will require a tripod, which is not a requirement for the Street main session (a small and light one is still advisable though, something similar to the Platypod or Manfrotto Pixi). And Astro may be out of reach for smartphone shooters.

We will also have breaks for Q&A, analyses of the photos taken during the workshop and a small editing session.

Whether you’re just starting out or are already an expert photographer, I invite you to experience the magical atmosphere of “the most beautiful city in the world” through the medium of your camera lens.

This workshop is indicated for all photography levels and equipment, whether you use a DSLR, a mirrorless camera or simply a smartphone (though it might become challenging for smartphones after sunset). If you plan to participate with a smartphone, please contact me before booking so we can verify whether your model has all the needed features.
This workshop is not indicated for action cameras.

Because of the long walks, the workshop is not recommended to individuals who are not in good fitness conditions. Florence is mainly flat but the old streets can be uneven and there are uphill sections as well. There will be breaks to make it easier, of course.

Duration: 2 days (~8h per day)
Tour Type: Photowalk
Languages: English, Italian and French
Group Size: 8 people
It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes for a long walk and to dress appropriately for the Autumn season (usually very variable, check the weather forecast the days before arriving). It is also recommended to bring a bottle of water to keep hydrated and there will be stops to refill.
We will stop for refreshments along the way but the cost for those is not included in the price.
What is included in the price: Extended Photography tuition over 2 days (~8 hours per day): composition, light, day&night, bracketing, panning, long exposure, editing and much more. Free access to all my presets currently in store.
What is NOT included in the price: Travel and Accommodation, Food & Beverage, public transports if needed.

Cancellation policy: You can cancel anytime and get a full refund up to 72h before the workshop.
No refund is given beyond that.

Should Covid-19 restrictions change in Italy, or other kind of restrictions are put in place that make it impossible to run the workshop safely, the workshop will be cancelled and a full refund will be returned to all bookings.

Tipologia: tour a piedi
Lingue parlate: Italiano, inglese e francese
Max persone: 8
