Welcome to another lens review, this time for the Fujifilm XF 33mm F/1.4 R LM WR. And I’m going to tell you what I think straight away: this lens is marvellous! Probably one of the best lenses Fujifilm has ever released.

The video I just published is mostly my professional opinion, more than a full review. But I know for sure you’ll find good info there.
And as I already said, the Fujifilm XF 33mm is a fantastic lens. but will it replace my current Fujifilm 35mm F/2? That’s what I talk about in this video: watch it, and you’ll find out.

I have also added a few photo samples like I always do, so you can judge the quality. Even with the YouTube compression, I’m sure they’ll come out nicely.
Of course, all images are out of the camera, or the review would not make sense. And with either Provia or Classic Neg film simulation applied in-camera. Classic Neg always works wonders with the light in London and Provia is just a great all-rounder.

The Video

By the way, for once, this is a sponsored video, just not by Fujifilm. The learning platform Coursera contacted me to ask if I wanted to mention them. And because I used them myself for my personal growth, I was more than happy to. So I begin with a quick 20 seconds message to introduce them, and then we’re good to go.

Fujifilm XF 33mm F1.4 Honest Opinion: Worth Buying Or Switching?

Update, 2 Months Later…

I purchased the lens (from Adorama)! Not only that, but it almost never leaves my camera!
It really is a very good lens. Very happy with it. Yeah, you could go with the Viltrox version if you fancy cheap Chinese lenses. But this Fujifilm XF 33mm is sooooooo damn good.

My Gear reviews on YouTube

You all seem to appreciate my gear reviews, as the success of the 100-400mm video can testify (relative to my small channel) so let me know if this is something you want me to do more frequently.
More than happy to, if this is something you want :) Just let me know in the comments, here and on YouTube. And also, share your thoughts on this Fujifilm XF 33mm. Does it appeal to you?

I leave you to the video. Please enjoy.

Cheers.
